What this estimate includes
This tool screens the structure of the CRA criteria. It cannot evaluate medical evidence or predict the CRA decision.
The person with the impairment or their legal representative completes Part A. The medical practitioner completes the applicable certification in Part B.
Questions this calculator answers
Does a diagnosis automatically qualify for the DTC?
No. Eligibility is based on the effects of the impairment and the CRA criteria, not the diagnosis alone.
How long must the impairment last?
It must be prolonged, meaning it has lasted or is expected to last for a continuous period of at least 12 months.
What does all or substantially all of the time mean?
CRA guidance generally interprets this as at least 90% of the time.
Who completes Form T2201?
The applicant completes Part A and an eligible medical practitioner certifies the relevant sections of Part B.
